Shooting attack leaves 3 dead in Tel Aviv

TEL AVIV: Three people were killed Wednesday in a shooting incident at central Tel Aviv''s Sarona market, Israeli police said.

According to the Yedioth Ahronot newspaper, five other people were injured in the attack, one of them critically.

Israeli police said in a statement that the two attackers in the incident were arrested, and that one of them was shot.

The Israeli Defense Ministry said in a statement that an emergency meeting will be held later Wednesday with the attendance of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman, and Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan.
