Morocco- King Mohammed VI Offers Condolences to Turkish President Following Istanbul Attack


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences and solidarity to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan following the terrorist attack against a Police bus in Istanbul.

In this message, the Sovereign said he learned with “deep grief and great indignation” the news of the terrorist act that claimed several lives.

While expressing Morocco’s strong condemnation of this criminal and cowardly act that goes against to the noble universal values, the King expressed to President Erdogan, the families of victims and the brotherly Turkish people, His most heartfelt condolences and sincere compassion.

At least 11 people have been killed in a car bomb attack targeting a police vehicle in central Istanbul, the latest in a series of terror attacks in Turkey.

The explosion occurred at a busy intersection in the Vezneciler district during morning rush-hour, near Istanbul University and the Grand Bazaar, a popular tourist attraction in the historic Sultanahmet district.
