Ariana Resources making good progress with Kiziltepe construction


(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - UK) Ariana Resources plc (LON:AAU) says much of process plant at its new gold mine at Kiziltepe in Turkey is built and work has started on the tailings storage facility (TSF).

Approval for the facility has just been received and construction will be initiated imminently, said Kerim Sener, Ariana's managing director.

'Following the approval of our TSF project in line with new legislation by the Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning, the project is currently on schedule for commissioning during Q3 2016 and production in Q4 2016.'

Sener added that 160 people are now working on site, including 50 from villages and towns in the vicinity.

Kiziltepe is a 50/50 joint venture with Turkish firm Proccea Construction. The current resource at Kiziltepe is 195,200 oz gold and 3.15mln oz of silver, sufficient for a ten-year mine life.
