Kuwaiti charity offers Ramadan aid to Syrians in Jordan


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) AMMAN, June 6 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's voluntary team Basmat Amal (Smile of Hope) and the Kuwaiti-based Al-Rahma International Charity have carried out an aid program to support up to 900 Syrian refugee families in Jordan with the advent of Ramadan.

This is the 269 project of Al-Rahma International aid convoys for the Syrian refugees, head of the charity society office in Amman Basil Shehada told KUNA on Monday. It is the 30th for Basmat Amal.

A Kuwaiti 22-member delegation arrived in the Kingdom on Friday, and began distributing kind and financial aid, that included food parcels, clothes and kids' confectionery, totaling about JOD 80,000 (about USD 115,000), on refugees.

The aid program reached out to Syrian refugees in various parts of the Kingdom.

In addition, the delegation accompanied 100 orphan children on a day out, visiting a fun fair and a shopping mall, in psychological support to the little ones, Shehada said. (end) mjb.msa
