Bee'ah honours winners of 6th Annual Sharjah Environment Awareness Awards
SHARJAH, 6th June, 2016 (WAM) -- The Sharjah Environment Company, Bee'ah, yesterday held its sixth annual edition of the Sharjah Environment and Awareness Awards, SEAAs, along with the Inter-Schools Recycling Competition, with winning students rewarded for their innovation and contribution to environmental sustainability and energy conservation.
For the 2016 awards, many schools and students were considered for the five main award categories, with the highest number of entrants and awards in the competition's six-year history. Submission entries were open for any school operating within the Sharjah Education Zone.
The 2016 categories included a first and second place award for Best Environmental Play (KG Grade 2), Best Environmental Movie (Grades 3 6), Best Environmental Invention (Grades 7 12) and the Outstanding Individual Achievement Awards for students.
The winning school, for Best Environmental Play, was Al Amal Kindergarten. The Best Environmental Movie went to the American School of Creative Science, and the winner of the Best Environmental Invention was Delhi Private School. The Outstanding Individual Achievement Award for Students went to Arushi Madan, from Delhi Private School.
