Bin Alawi: Oman Supports Qatar in Solving Regional Issues Peacefully


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha, June 05 (QNA) - Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah affirmed that his country supports the State of Qatar's efforts to find peaceful solutions for regional issues, in cooperation with other parties.
In an interview with Qatar's Arabic (Al-Sharq) newspaper issued Sunday, the Omani Minister said that Qatar, without doubt, is exerting strenuous efforts in solving regional issues peacefully, and this is an international demand, adding that now disputes can only be solved by peaceful and political means.
The Minister underlined the depth of the distinguished relationship between his country and Qatar and said that the two countries' leaderships are keen to support and promote it.
He said that HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani witnessed the signing of a number of Memoranda of Understanding and agreements during his visit to Oman on Thursday.
Regarding the existence of a way out of the Syrian and Yemeni crisis, the Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs said that there must be a way out, and these issues are somehow complex.
Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah told Al-Sharq that the image became clearer to everyone in how to get out of these crisis, whether in Syria, Libya or Yemen, adding that what is important is that the GCC states play a major role in all of this, which is the key to stability in the Middle East.
