UAE- Ruler of Fujairah attends official launch of Fujairah University

FUJAIRAH, 4th June, 2016 (WAM) -- Investment in high quality education is the key to a promising future and eventually joining the club of advanced nations, H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, has affirmed during an official ceremony to launch the Fujairah University.
Sheikh Hamad stressed the importance of education in generating qualified human resources who can contribute to nation building and modernisation of the education sector as per holistic strategic plans for national universities which have become strong competitors to the world's most recognised higher education providers.
The launch ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and Dr. Ahmad bin Abdulla Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of State for Higher Education.
Saeed Mohammed Al Raqbani, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, said today's official launch crowned Sheikh Hamad's directives that he gave after the foundation of the Fujairah College in 2006.
''Over the last ten years, the University had worked hard to deliver H.H.'s vision for offering the best academic programmes that serve the interest of the nation and qualify citizens so as to become active contributors to the nation building process,'' he said.
The University, he added, will offer high quality education opportunities in vital multi-specialisations and in applied post-graduate studies.
