Egypt qualifies for the 2017 African Cup of Nations

(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Egypt celebrated a victory on Saturday after the Egyptian national football team defeated Tanzania, 2-0, in the African Cup of Nations’ qualification match, which qualifies the team for the 2017 African Cup of Nations in Gabon.

Thanks to this victory, Egypt not only maintained its rank as the fifth best African team, but also its position among African teams.

In the match, the Egyptian team put on a great performance. Mohamed Salah scored the two goals for Egypt. The first goal was scored during minute 45 as a free-kick and the second goal was scored during minute 58.

This is the 23rd time that Egypt has qualified for the African Cup of Nations.

Egypt did not qualify for the previous three rounds of the African Cup of Nations celebrated in 2012, 2013 and 2015.
