Jordan- Heat wave continues until Sunday, subsides Monday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, June 4 (Petra)---A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Saturday as the Kingdom will remain under effect of the heat wave. Therefore, it will be hot in most regions across the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Winds will be southwesterly to north westerly moderate to brisk raising dust in the southern and eastern regions, the JMD added.

Hot weather conditions will continue on Sunday with some high clouds and south westerly moderate winds.

The heat wave will taper off Monday evening when temperatures will drop becoming around their annual average. Therefore, normal summer conditions will prevail in the hilly areas, but it will remain relatively hot in the rest of the country.

Winds will be westerly to northwesterly moderate to brisk blowing dust, mainly in the southern and eastern areas, the department stated at its daily brief.

Temperatures in Amman for today will range between a high of 37 degrees Celsius and a low of 25 degrees while in Aqaba temperatures will reach a high of 43 degrees dropping to 29 degrees at night.
