Grand Opening of Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016 Today

The 4-day show started with a momentum creating by the presence of esteemed representatives from the State Forestry Administration, P.R. China, China Building Decoration Association, China National Forestry Machinery Association, China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation and Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. Local and overseas association heads, consulate officials and renowned enterprises also attended the grand opening ceremony, such as the representative from Royal Embassy of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Beijing, representative of EUMABOIS, representative from the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), chairman of Qingdao Woodworking Machinery Association, chairman of Lunjiao Woodworking Machinery Association, representative from the Malaysian Panel-Products Manufacturers Association, etc.

With strong support from the industry, Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016 features more than 430 exhibitors at an exhibiting area of 55,000 sqm, it is expected to attract 30,000 visitors from all over the world during the 4-day show period. Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016 focuses on the latest intelligent and green woodworking machines, technologies and solutions which assist woodworking and furniture enterprises in achieving environmental-friendly and sustainable production with reduced cost.

In response to buyers sourcing needs, the exhibition features 6 themed zones, including "Automation and CNC Machinery Zone", "Furniture Making and Wooden Products Machinery", "Machinery for Green Production and Energy Saving / Machinery for the First Time Processing, Drying, Coating and Material Making", "Panel Board Machinery", "Knives, Blades and Machinery Accessories / Hand Tools" and "Engraving Machinery". Through an all-round technological display of innovative exhibits for woodworking industries, Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016 forges the largest and most representative exhibition of its kind in Asia.

Beijing Woodwork Fair 2016 has successfully attracted international pavilions from VDMA, IEC Berlin, together with Qingdao Woodworking Machinery Association, Shanghai Woodworking Machinery and Lunjiao Woodworking Machinery Association, to present an international and professional woodworking machinery exhibition to visitors.

Apart from the international pavilions, more than 430 renowned enterprises including Sandar, Biesse, Homag, Linze, Yuton, Weinig, Unisunx, Homag China, etc., are showcasing software and equipment in alignment with the theme of smart manufacturing. One of the programs includes a demonstration on Woodshop software by Homag China, which involves 3D simulations and automatic calculation of the cost of designing and producing a wardrobe. There is also a demonstration on a complete wardrobe production cycle from design, order placement, production to packaging using software such as WCC, CutRite and I-Share. In addition, Biesse also showcases the CNC machine model Rover Gold that has a very flexible design and is highly applicable to different production lines. Another highlighted exhibit from Biesse is the sanding machine tailored for solid wood furniture.

Beijing Woodwork Fair is highly recognized by the industry players and it attracts numerous visiting delegations, trade association members and esteemed enterprises in woodworking industries from different provinces and countries. Chinese delegations from Zhejiang Province, Sichuan Province, Ningbo City, Heilongjiang, Hebei, Jiangsu, Dairen, Shanxi, Tianjin, Jilin, Harbin in China, etc., confirmed to visit the show. Splendid Concurrent Activities Refresh Industry Players with Hot Topics

A series of high-end symposiums and activities will be held concurrently with the fair to unlock the latest industry developments.

Childrens Furniture Forum, hosted by the organizer and China Building Decoration Association, was held in the morning of 1 June and got a warm response.

Mr. Raymond Shan, the Principal Consultant from Smart Manufacturing & Materials Division of Hong Kong Productivity Council, and Prof. Dr. Wu Zhihui, the Dean of College of Furniture and Industrial Design, Nanjing Forestry University, focused on the global trend in woodworking industry and analyzed how China cementing her place among the worlds leading manufacturing players in German Industry 4.0 & Made In China 2025 Conference.

Three symposiums, Technical Talk on Energy Saving Panel Board Production Technology, Green Furniture Future Sustainable Development Conference and The 3rd WMF-CRIWI Forum The New Face of Panel Board will also be held on 2 June, set the stage for in-depth discussion on transformation of the panel board industry and the guidelines to achieve long-term sustainable development.

Other concurrent activities include The 25th WBCP Plenary Meeting and Chinese Water-based Paint Production Forum scheduled on 3 June, as well as the DIY Wood Workshop held during 1 4 June which provide an ideal platform for skill and experiences exchange.


The 16th International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery and Furniture Manufacturing Equipment and The International Exhibition on Woodworking Machinery Supplies and Accessories are honorary organized by State Forestry Administration, P.R. China, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and China International Exhibition Center Group Corporation. It is jointly organized by China National Forestry Machinery Association, Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and China Building Decoration Association.
