(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Board of Directors of the Nation's Fund has thanked the UAE leadership for the provision of decent living conditions to citizens and investment in human resources to upgrade the status of the UAE worldwide.
It extended thanks to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Members of Supreme Council, Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates for their interest in the development and progress of the nation.
This remark was made during the board meeting held today at Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi under the chair of Lt. General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chairman of Police and Public Security in Dubai, and Chairman of the Nation's Fund. The board members including Mohammed Ali Al Abaar, Eisa Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Hussain Jassim Al Nowais, Sultan bin Rashid Al Dhahiri, and Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah also attended the meeting.
The board reiterated the keenness of the leadership to prioritise human resources and urban development, as well as consolidating pillars of national economy while backing national initiatives in the best interest of the community, in line with the course of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and other founding fathers, who etched the UAE's position at regional and international levels.
It commended the leadership's vision in encouraging all public institutions to open doors for national initiatives and energies to participate effectively in comprehensive development.
The board discussed and agreed on a detailed strategy of the Nation's Fund in line with modern development and economic standards. The members stressed the importance of stepping up efforts to advance the objectives of this societal initiative, which embodies the spirit of co-operation among a wide spectrum and all categories of the UAE community in line with the directives of the leadership to achieve welfare and prosperity.
They welcomed contributions of trade and economic circles, and businessmen, who are the main partners in the development process.
The Nation's Fund initiative comes within the social corporate responsibility of the private sector in the UAE to contribute to the development projects and support the process of nation-building through adoption of entrepreneurial and innovative ideas that serve the development process in the country.
