UAE Parliamentary Division participates in meeting of Arab Parliament in Cairo

CAIRO, 31st May, 2016 (WAM) -- A delegation from the UAE Parliamentary Division of the Federal National Council, FNC, has participated in fifth and final plenary meeting of the Arab Parliament of the fourth legislative chapter, which was held yesterday in Cairo at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan.

The UAE delegation included Jassim Abdullah Al Naqbi, Vice President of the Legislative and Legal Affairs Committee and Human Rights and Ayesha Salem bin Smonoh, Member of the Committee of Social, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs.

In a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Al Naqbi said that the parliamentary session discussed many important issues, including reports that have been referred by the fourth Committee of Parliament.

He went on to say that the meeting also discussed the issue of Iran's occupation of the three UAE islands of Greater Tunb, Lesser Tunb and Abu Mousa, and the UAE's peaceful approach to resolving the issue by dialogue or referring the matter to the International Courts.
