Iran pursues to become Turkey's top oil provider


(MENAFN) Iran took the second place as an exporter of crude oil to Turkey during the Jan-March period, by providing one fourth of Turkey's oil necessities, but pursues to be the top exporter.

In accordance, Turkey shipped in a total of 488,700 barrels of oil from the Islamic Republic per day through the period, which is a growth of 72,000 barrels per day as opposed to 2014's numbers.

Meanwhile, Iraq is the number one oil exporter to Turkey, but this is about to change soon as sabotage in Iraqi cities have posed obstacles for oil trade, harming both sides, thus Iran's goal will become easier.

The Persian Gulf Republic and world's six major powers have recently settled their negotiations on Tehran's nuclear activities leading to the signing of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.
