Mideast carriers record 12.7 percent traffic grow


(MENAFN) Global passenger demand increased by 4.8 percent compared to April 2015, which is the slowest pace in two years.

Moreover, airlines registered increase, led by the Middle East region, while whole capacity jumped by 5.6 percent.

In addition, Middle Eastern carriers logged a 12.7 percent traffic increase in April, where the only region to see a double-digit percentage increase in demand.

However, capacity growth of 14.8 percent exceeded the increase, while it caused load factor to drop by 1.4 percentage points to 75.6 percent.
