Kuwait clinches 1st, 3rd places in int'l robotics competition


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 30 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti delegation has clinched first and third place in the International Robotics Competition in the Romanian capital Bucharest, the Kuwait Robotics Center announced on Monday.

In a press statement, Director of Milset-Asia and Kuwait Robotics Center Dawood Ahmad said that the "Infomatrix" competition attracted youths from across the globe, who presented a number of projects aimed to showcase their craft.

Moreover, Ahmad noted that Kuwait attained first and third place in the International Robotic Competition, describing it as a major accomplishment in an event that featured participation of 600 people from 48 nations.

This marked Kuwait's debut at the competition, the press statement quoted the head of Kuwait's delegation Salem Al-Kandari as saying, adding that the Kuwait Robotics Center should be commended for this accolade. (end) mf.nam
