Qatar- Over 250 companies to attend Ramadan Souq


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) DOHA: Over 250 local and international companies will be taking part in the Ramadan Souq which will be open from June 11 to 24 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC).

The souq will include stalls extending over Halls 1 and 2 of DECC, offering fashion and household products, antiques and carpets.

The souq will be open daily from 11am to 3pm and 8pm to 1am and on Fridays from 8pm to 1am.

Daily religious and cultural events will be held in collaboration with Qatar Charity and Qatar Heritage and Identity Centre between 9.30pm and 11.30pm, featuring scholars from Qatar and the GCC region, presented by Dr Abdulrahman Al Harami.

The souq will also cater to children of all ages with a gaming area including activities such as karting and mini-football, which will be open daily from 2pm to 2am in Hall 3.

Football enthusiasts will also be able to watch UEFA Euro 2016 matches live at Ramadan Souq Food Court, which will offer light snacks.

The souq is supported by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and delivered by Maraya Public Relations.

The exhibition aims to support members of the local community, as well as share Qatar’s Ramadan customs with visitors and residents by bringing together the country’s unique traditions, cultural roots and charitable character.
