UAE- Mohammed bin Rashid receives President of Chad

DUBAI, 29th May 2016 (WAM) - Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, received President Idriss Deby of Chad in Zabeel Palace on Sunday, along with his accompanying delegation.

In the presence of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed welcomed President Deby and stressed UAE's keenness to develop relations with all countries in all domains, especially in economic, cultural and tourism fields.

Sheikh Mohammed and President Deby discussed ways to expand cooperation between the two countries to better serve the interest of the peoples of the two friendly countries.

Further, President Deby said his country was interested in exploring avenues of cooperation among the public and private sectors in the two countries.

He emphasised the business sectors' role in establishing viable partnerships, adding that Chad possesses very large untapped natural resources, such as agriculture, minerals, water and livestock.

Present during the meeting were H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, Director General of Dubai Protocol and Hospitality Department.
