Seven Iraqis killed in suicide bombing in Meqdadi town

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, May 29 (KUNA) -- Seven people were killed in suicide bombing in Meqdadi town, in Diyala province, east of the Iraqi capital on Sunday.
A police source told KUNA the suicide bomber was wearing an explosive belt and detonated his explosives in a coffee shop in Ma'almin area.
The source added 35 people were injured in the attack and all were transferred to nearby hospital.
The town has been witnessing repeated attacks claimed mostly by the so-called Islamic State (IS). (end) ahh.mb
