(MENAFN) Egypt received a USD 19.7bn in remittances from the world in 2015, of which USD 1.83bn from them came from the UAE.
On the other hand, Jordan received USD 3.8bn from nations across the globe, with the UAE collaborating USD 716mn to the total.
Moreover, remittances play a major role in country's economies, contributing 6.8 percent to Egypt's GDP and 10.4 percent to Jordan.
"The UAE is a very active hub for remittances to non-GCC countries in the Mena region," said COO at Xpress Money.
