Qatar Charity opens cultural centre in Italy


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar Charity (QC) has inaugurated the premises of Salman bin Jassim Cultural Centre in the Italian city of Saronno in the presence of a number of QC and local officials.
In a press release yesterday, QC said that Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser bin Jassim al-Thani, the board chairman of Qatar Charity, inaugurated the centre which consists of a mosque, a school and a section to introduce Islam and its principles and values, as well as a range of cultural, social, sports and leisure facilities and shops.
The statement cited Sheikh Hamad bin Nasser as saying that “the centre which Qatar Charity had contributed in its completion has become a destination for Muslims from everywhere in the city, not only to perform their rituals, but to contribute to the city building”.
