Qatar- Arab Foreign Ministers' Meeting Starts


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Cairo, May 28 (QNA) - The extraordinary session of the Arab League Ministerial Council at the Foreign Ministers level started Saturday under the Chairmanship of Bahrain, the current chair of the council.
HE the Foreign Minister's Assistant for Foreign Affairs Soltan bin Saad Al Muraikhi heads Qatar's delegation to the meeting.
The session, which will be attended by the president of the Palestinian authority, Mahmoud Abbas, will examine the developments of the situation in Palestine with regard to the French initiative of hosting an international conference to revive the Middle East peace negotiations.
The Arab foreign ministers will also review the draft agenda of the 27th Arab Summit slated for July 20 to 26 in the Mauritanian capital Nouakchott.
The meeting will also discuss the developments in Libya, in light of Skhirat agreement in addition to the efforts for restoring stability in Libya and fighting terrorist organizations.
At the request of the legitimate government of Yemen, the Council will, as well, discuss the outcomes of the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations, currently underway in Kuwait. (QNA)
