ALEPPO, Syria: The Syrian opposition retook four villages from the Daesh terrorist group in Aleppo province’s Azaz district, local sources told Anadolu Agency.

The sources, who spoke anonymously due to fear of reprisal, said the opposition retook Nida, Sindif, Niyara and Tatiya villages in eastern Azaz district.

Meanwhile, the Syrian opposition killed 30 Daesh terrorists in an operation against the terrorist group in Mari district.

The opposition also destroyed four Daesh explosive-laden vehicles before they reached the district.

On Friday, 14 civilians were killed by Daesh when the group opened fire randomly amid clashes with the opposition in the village of Kaljibrin in Azaz district.

Syria has been locked in a vicious civil war since 2011, when the regime cracked down on pro-democracy protests with disproportionate force.
