Qatar- UN Yemen Envoy Praises Return of Opposition Parties to DCC Meetings
The UN envoy noted that the decision followed separate meetings and lengthy political consultations he had had with heads of the two negotiating teams to convince them of the urgency of the DCC work, according to Kuwait news agency (KUNA)."The chief delegates of the General People's Congress and Ansarullah movement presented letters to the effect that their respective negotiating teams agreed to resume participation in the DCC meetings," he said, noting that their return is "pivotal to the success of the talks." He added that he made a presentation to the UN Security Council via a satellite link on the progress of the UN-sponsored intra-Yemeni peace talks. (QNA)
