Oman- Ten year old locked inside bus jumps out to save himself

A ten year old showed presence of mind and courage after getting locked inside a school bus alone on Wednesday morning.

The student of an Indian school had dozed off on the ride to school and when he awoke he found the bus parked in the lot and locked. The driver had failed to check if all students had alighted.

'He boarded the minibus at around 5.50am along with my elder son, a class ten student who alights first at the senior school building,' said the student's father. 'The driver too did not notice him sleeping in his seat,' he added.

According to the parent, the driver parked the bus, locked it and drove back home in his car. 'My son shouted for help. With no response, he opened the window and jumped out of the vehicle.' The father has filed a complaint with school authorities.
