(MENAFN) Qatar and Belgium plan to boost business relations, while there are 31 firms in Qatar controlled by Belgium or have joint venture with Qatari companies.
Moreover, Qatar aims to insulate the economy of two sides from oil price volatility, in order to increase trade relations.
Additionally, the trade volume between both countries reached USD 1.6bn last year, showing an increase of 1 percent compared to previous year.
Meanwhile, exports from Qatar to Belgium in 2015 touched almost USD 1.3bn, while Qatari imports from Belgium grew by 7.3 percent to USD 264mn.
