Oman- Shifa al Jazeera honours Omanisinger

Muhammed Rafi, distinguished Omani singer and a regular presence in the Indian community gatherings washonouredby ShifaalJazeeraGroup cementing its social outlook and encouraging talents in all walks of life.

Dr K T Rabeeullah, chairman ofShifa alJazeeraGroup handed over a memento and cash award to Rafiat a functionheld at Grand Hyatt Muscat.

Earlier on May 13at a function held to commemorate the golden jubilee of the evergreen Malayalam movie Chemmeen, Rafi, the Omani singer, ignited the crowd with his melodious voice and effortless singing of the famousMalayalamsong Manasa Maine Varu.
'The efforts of Mohammed Rafi to master the language and do justice tothegoldenmelody of yesteryearswas highly commendable,' remarked Dr Rabeeullah while awarding the singer.

Shifa al JazeeraGroup CEO and executive director Siddique Valiakath and others too were present.
