Kuwait- Info. Min. lauds Arab Women journalists union


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 24 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah lauded the role played by Arab women journalists union in highlighting women's issues in the Arab World.

This remark was made by the minister during his meeting with the union's President - Kuwait branch - Raba'a Hussein Muki Juma'a, the Ministry of Information said in a statement on Tuesday.

Sheikh Salman Al-Sabah stressed his support to Kuwaiti women in all fields of media by providing proper training and vocatioanl rehabiliataion.

He wished success to all members of the union in their endeavors, pointing out that this newly established body will be a fundamental addition to women journalists in Kuwait.

The Arab women journalists union is sponsored by the Arab League and its inception was announced officially in December 2015, in Cairo.

The union aims at supporting women who work in print and broadcast journalism. (end) mdm.nfm
