Markaz renews its collaboration with Kuwait Red Crescent Society as a Humanitarian Partner


(MENAFNEditorial) From its belief in the important role of the private sector in serving the society and humanity, Kuwait Financial Centre K.P.S.C "Markaz" has renewed recently its partnership as a "Humanitarian Partner" with Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to support the organization in helping the needy patients in Kuwait. This partnership is a continuation of cooperation between KRCS and Markaz over the past years. Mr. Alrazi Yousef Albudaiwi, Assistant Vice President, Media and Communications at Markaz said: "Markaz is really proud of its partnership with Kuwait Red Crescent Society, which is one of the credible, well-reputed non-profit organizations locally and globally that acts as a link between humanitarian action and partners who are committed to their social responsibilities. We truly thank the people behind it and its staff for the dedicated efforts to serve humanity in Kuwait and around the world." Mr. Albudaiwi added: "This partnerships comes from Markaz's corporate social responsibility strategy that aims at fulfilling the company's CSR responsibilities through three main pillars, which are building human capabilities, aligning our business environment with the principles of sustainable development, and promoting good governance in the business environment. Our activities within this strategy includes a variety of topics that targets achieving sustainability; among which is the humanitarian and health side for the society we work in." Ms. Lama Al-Othman, Director of Resources Development Department in Kuwait Red Crescent Society thanked Markaz on behalf of the Society's Board and volunteers for their continuous suppbort stating: "The Kuwaiti Private Sector institutes' role in supporting social and humanitarian causes is embodied through the integration of their CSR activities to the overall strategies, or through their corporate philanthropy that aim at highlighting their humanitarian role and spread these values among its employees, clients and society". She added: "We appreciate Markaz's valuable role in serving the society through consistently supporting KRCS and its activities. We are very pleased with our continuous partnership with such reputable institute that is committed to extend a hand of help to those in distress, whether their weakness is caused by a certain social status or the occurrence of wars or natural disasters, without distinction between religion or doctrine or gender or color, and without discrimination based on the political and intellectual beliefs, in addition to its dedication to building human capacities and contribution in humanitarian initiatives".
