UAE- KBZF wins first place in Arabic Language Festival in Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, 24th May, 2016 (WAM) -- The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, KBZF, has been ranked the first place in the Rhetoric Competition that was held as part of the 3rd Arabic Language Festival, ALF, in Malaysia.

The Malaysian officials praised the efforts of the Khalifa Foundation in its humanitarian work and its role in the dissemination of the Arabic language in Malaysia in general and in Pahang State in particular.

The KBZF also participated, in coordination with the UAE's Embassy in Malaysia, with a pavilion in the accompanying exhibition of the festival, which included manuscripts, paintings and books to present an idea about the UAE's heritage and culture. The pavilion won enormous admiration from all visitors and won a gold medal.

Abdullah Matar Khamis Al Mazrouei, UAE Ambassador to Malaysia, said that UAE pays great attention to the Arabic language and there are many conferences and festivals that take place in the country to support and strengthen the role of the Arabic language, including the Fourth International Conference of the Arabic language, which was held in Dubai last year under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

He commended the role of the KBZF in this area and extended thanks and appreciation to the foundation for its efforts to diversify its humanitarian work and support for the Arabic language.
