Morocco- Lahcen Haddad Inaugurates Tourism Show in Casablanca


(MENAFN- Morocco World News) Lahcen Haddad, the Moroccan Minister of Tourism, inaugurated the 7th annual Travel, Tourism, and Leisure Show (SVTL) in Casablancaon May 19.

Initiated by the Regional Association of Casablanca Travel Agents (AVC) and held from May 19 to 21 under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, the show aims to explain Morocco's tourism offerings to travelers, giving more details about new travel destinations.

During his speech at the opening ceremony, Haddad stressed on the importance of this event, which contributes to the promotion of all Moroccan destinations and tourism packs both to national customers, the first primary target of the show, and foreign visitors.

The Minister highlighted the importance of organizing such events to boost internal market of tourism, which occupies the second place in terms of overnight stays.

He also emphasized the role of Moroccan travel agencies to stimulate the emergence of new niche tourism development and new technologies to meet the needs of internal tourism, highlighting the expertise of tourism professionals and trip organizers.

Haddad called on these professionals to develop proximity marketing to retain customers and generate new demands on the Moroccan tourist market.

With over 100 exhibitors including Moroccan and foreign tourist offices, tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, hotel chains, leisure and services, and about 8000 visitors expected for this year, the SVTL provides an opportunity for tourism and leisure travel professionals and all tourism industry operators to explore a wide range of destinations and tourism products.
