Rabat Qatar proposed the organization of an international conference to help revive Tunisia's depilated economy, which has since been affected by the 2011 revolution, according to the North Africa Post. Emir Tamim Ben Hamad Al Thani made the proposal on Wednesday, while visiting and discussing with the Tunisian president, Caid Essebsi. President Eseebsi welcome the proposal and thanked Al-Thani for taking initiative. The exact time and date of the conference has not yet been publically announced, but reports say it may be held in October. The conference will discuss ways to gather investments necessary to implementing large-scale projects, which will be planned under Tunisia's five-year development plan. Tunisia's economic situation has gotten worse in the last year, which followed three terrorist attacks, leaving more than 70 people dead, 50 of which were foreign tourists. The Tunisian government, who claims does not have a magic wand, is facing a growing unemployment rate as well as a battered economy. Tunisia's economic growth was less than one percent last year, but economy experts forecast that it may increase to two percent for 2016.
