National Bank of Oman (NBO) launched its annual Iftar Sa'im initiative to support families with essential provisions ahead of the holy month of Ramadan, with the support of the Ministry of Social Development.

A team of NBO volunteers including the bank's senior management team will deliver more than 1,400 food hampers to low income families across the sultanate to ensure they have all the essential food staples.

In addition to the food parcels donated by NBO, the bank's employees have also made personal donations of essential items to help families ahead of the holy month.

Ahmed al Musalmi, chief executive officer of National Bank of Oman, commented, 'NBO's Iftar Sa'im initiative is part of our commitment to make a difference in the communities where we operate. We are proud that each year so many of our employees volunteer to help families across the Sultanate prepare for the holy month. With each parcel personally delivered by a NBO employee, this initiative is an opportunity for our team to connect with the local community during a special time of the year.'

The Iftar Sa'im drive is part of NBO's wider CSR programme, which includes initiatives and partnerships that seek to create shared value by furthering client prosperity, fueling the growth of the national economy.
