Jordan- Moderate conditions forecast over next two days


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, May 22 (Petra) -- A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Monday, but it will remain moderate in the hilly areas, relatively hot in the Badia region and the eastern plains, while it will be hot in the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), winds will be southwesterly moderate with clouds at high altitudes.

The Kingdom will be affected by a humid air mass on Monday and Tuesday, pushing temperatures below their annual average. Therefore, pleasant conditions will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be moderate in the Gulf of Aqaba and the Dead Sea.

Strong gust stirring dust is expected mainly on the Badia regions, with a chance for scattered showers in the northern and central parts of the Kingdom, the JMD added.

Temperatures expected in the capital for today will reach a high of 31 degrees Celsius and a low of 19 degrees at night, while mercury levels in the Gulf of Aqaba will hit 38 degrees Celsius plunging to 25 .
