UAE- Sultan Al Jaber meets Bahrain&# s information affairs minister

ABU DHABI, 21st May, 2016 (WAM) -- Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Director of the National Media Council (NMC), met here today with Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi, Bahrain's Minister of Information Affairs.

The meeting touched on ways to enhance cooperation and sharing expertise in information, media and news, as well as providing support through joint GCC programmes in the form of audio-visual media and other information.

Al Rumaihi said the UAE and Bahrain are keen on developing their fraternal ties under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

He praised the UAE's firm stand in support of the security and stability of Bahrain.

He underlined the two countries' efforts to boost the role of the media and its contribution in ensuring sustainable development and preserving the Arab and Islamic values by promoting tolerance, peace, moderation and centrism.

Dr. Al Jaber thanked the Bahraini minister for his brotherly visit and his interest in strengthening his country's cooperation in information and media affairs with the UAE.
