AMMAN, May 19 (KUNA) -- Dolmens, are box-like chambers made of stone located around the Jordan Valley, dating back to about five thousand years.
Dolmens, weighing about one ton, usually consist of two or more vertical stones supporting a large flat horizontal capstone. These chambers were used as tombs in the early Bronze Age.
These historic monuments are found in several locations in Jordan and the Arab World, as well as Spain, UK and Ireland. (end) ab.ag
