Riyadh, Sha'ban 12, 1437, May 19, 2016, SPA -- Spokesman of the Saudi Soccer Federation Adnan Moaibed stressed that the stadiums of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are among the world's best in security and safety, and that Saudi stadiums should not be included in such a decision which was issued today by the International
Soccer Federation FIFA and which stated that Saudi and Iraqi national teams should play their Asian playoffs qualifying for the 2018 world Cup in neutral grounds.
In a press conference held on Wednesday after a regular meeting of Saudi Soccer Federation in Riyadh, he said that there is a decision by the Asian Soccer Federation not to play in Iran or Iraq which has been endorsed by the International Federation. He Added, "We are committed to this decision." He stated that " our national team will play the first leg with the brotherly Iraqi team outside Iranian and Iraqi stadiums, and the second game we will play in the kingdom in accordance with what is approved and scheduled by the Asian Soccer Federation.
