Israeli bulldozers demolish Palestinian home in Jerusalem

(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Jerusalem, May 18 (Petra)-- Israeli occupation bulldozers early Wednesday demolished a Palestinian home in the Shufat refugee camp north of the holy occupied city of Jerusalem under the pretext it was built without a permit.

The popular committee to serve the camp said in a statement that large Israeli forces imposed a tight military cordon on the area and prevented local residents from approaching the house before starting the demolition process.

The owner of the only 150 square meter house, which was built since 2001 and is being inhabited by seven people, had received an Israeli demolition notification to expand a road, which will run through the camp in order to connect between the illegal settlements of Ramat shlomo and Pisgat Ze'ev .
