UAE- Final phase of winter relief campaign for Syrian refugees launched
BEIRUT, 17th May, 2016 (WAM) The final phase of the Emirati Winter Relief Campaign for the Syrian Refugees for 2016, started today with distribution of aid provided by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) Authority to 2,284 Syrian, Lebanese and Palestinian families in the different areas of Lebanon.
The UAE Embassy in Lebanon oversaw the aid distribution, in collaboration with Lebanon's Relief and Humanitarian Aid Organisation (Dar Al-Fatwa).
Bakhit Al Kathiri, Media Officer at the Humanitarian Assistance Attache in the UAE embassy, said more than 457 food parcels were distributed today on Al Jadeeda-Beirut highway to 319 Syrian families, 91 Lebanese and 47 Palestinian families.
The remaining aid will be distributed to beneficiaries in Sidon, Bashamon, Armoun and Iqlim El Kharroub.
