(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Riyadh, May 16 (QNA) - GCC chiefs of staff held on Monday the seventh consultative meeting for the supreme military committee.
HE Chief of Staff Air Vice-Marshall Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim led Qatar's delegation to the meeting.
Speaking during the meeting, Saudi Chief of General Staff Gen. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Bunyan said the meeting aims to strengthen aspects of joint military work and achieve more coordination among GCC armed forces.
He added that the meeting comes in interpretation of the directives of GCC leaders who pay attention to whatever helps in preserving the security and stability of the region's countries and promoting aspects of military cooperation and joint defense.
The meeting discussed the executive steps of achieving the Saudi monarch's vision in the military field as well as steps towards the activation of GCC defense integration. (QNA)
