GCC secretaries commission Kuwait for diplomacy report


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 16 (KUNA) -- Secretaries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) legislative councils have commissioned the State of Kuwait to prepare a report on parliamentary diplomacy to be generalized on secretariats of other gulf councils and assemblies.

Kuwait has been tasked to prepare the report in the form of recommendations that would be sent to secretariats of Gulf councils, National Assembly's Secretary General Allam Al-Kandari said in a press statement following the 19th meeting of GCC secretaries of parliament, national assemblies, and Shura councils.

During the meeting, held under the auspices of National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim, secretaries also approved the reports by the meeting's committees, Al-Kandari said, adding that the secretaries valued the committees' significant role in preparing the reports, particularly Qatar.
