27 Daesh terrorists killed in northern Syria

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) >A total of 27 Daesh terrorists were killed north of Syria's Aleppo province by Turkish shelling and US-led coalition airstrikes on Sunday, said military sources.

According to the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity as they are not authorized to speak to the media, the terrorists, detected with the help of surveillance devices, were killed on the verge of firing rockets towards Turkey.

Since mid-January, Daesh-propelled rockets have been targeting Turkey. A total of 21 people, including Syrians in Turkey, were killed, and more than 70 others wounded since then.

In three coalition campaigns, terrorists have been killed in the Al Bil, Sheikh Rih, Faydiyuah, Mazraa, Tal Hishin and Baragitah regions, the sources said.

Daesh overrun Iraq's second-largest province, Mosul, in March 2014 and has been expanding its grip in Syria as well since then, with coalition opposition groups fighting against the terrorist group’s advance.

The international coalition began its campaign against Daesh in September 2014.
