GCC leaders congratulated on GCC anniversary

RIYADH, 15th May, 2016 (WAM) -- Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani has extended utmost congratulations to all GCC leaders and citizens on the 35th anniversary of the GCC, expressing deep pride in the landmark GCC achievements and comprehensive cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, BNA, Dr. Al-Zayani lauded GCC leaders' far-sightedness and wise leadership of GCC, noting that their strong determination and dedicated efforts have enhanced the GCC and strengthened cooperation, solidarity and rapprochement among GCC citizens, generation after generation.

He affirmed that thanks to its milestone achievements in the political, security, economic and development fields , the GCC has become a robust entity that is capable of withstanding all challenges, stressing that he is looking forward to a brighter future laden with distinguished accomplishments and solid joint action.

He also voiced pride in the prestigious status currently enjoyed by the Gulf Cooperation Council at the international arena, citing GCC's efforts to consolidate regional security and stability, vital and effective contributions to championing regional and global issues and efforts to strengthen cooperation and complementarity among member states.

Dr. Al-Zayani hailed the efforts exerted by GCC citizens to cement GCC cohesion and enhance joint action.

He prayed to Allah Almighty to guide GCC leaders on the right path to bring about more landmark achievements for the GCC and fulfill the aspirations of its citizens.
