UAE- Abdullah bin Zayed meets with Vice President of Senate of Palau

MELEKEOK, 15th May, 2016 (WAM) -- H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, has met with Senator Rukebai K. Inabo, Vice President of the Senate of Palau, in the capital, Melekeok.

During the meeting, they discussed issues of common concern and ways to promote parliamentary relations. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah stressed the importance of bilateral relations between the UAE and the Republic of Palau, and ways of enhancing and developing them.

For her part, the Vice President of the Senate of the Republic of Palau stressed her country's quest to develop its bilateral relations with the UAE in a way that serves the interests of both sides.

She affirmed the importance of exchanging visits between officials of both countries, which, she said, were contributing to the establishment of a common ground of understanding, dialogue and exchange of ideas and cultures.

The meeting was attended by Mousa Abdul Wahid Al Khaja, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines, and Non-resident Ambassador to Palau.
