Yemeni parties' consultation tackles security, political issues


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 15 (KUNA) -- Parties involved in the Yemeni peace talks held a joint meeting Sunday in attempt to bring views closer and tackles top issues within the security and political fronts.

Supervising the meeting and talks is UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed.

Last night, a similar session took place, but only attended by the officials from the Yemeni government, Ansar Allah group, and the General People's Congress.

Discussion focused on ways to find mechanisms to work on the security, political, and humanitarian fields.

Later today, Ould Cheikh Ahmed is expected to hold a press conference to brief the press on the latest in talks for the past two days. (end) am.mb
