Abbas stresses endeavors exerted to internationalize Palestinian cause

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, May 14 (KUNA) -- President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas stressed continued endeavors to hold an international conference and internationalize the cause due to the Israeli procrastinations for decades.
Abbas made the statement on Saturday in a televised speech on the occasion of 68th anniversary of Nakba Day.
"Despite continued negligence and silence towards the cause and Israeli violations against Palestinians, we seek to internationalize the cause. We are waiting for results of the international support group's meeting to be in favor the cause," he said. He added that the endeavors are constantly exerted for making national reconciliation and implementing its items.
Palestinians have been living on Palestine's soil for more than 6,000 years, he said.
"We have been suffering from painful effects of the setback so far in every corner of the country and diaspora," he pointed out. (end) nq.hm
