UAE Embassy in Algeria marks UAE Armed Forces Unification Day

ALGIERS, 12th May, 2016 (WAM)--Ahmed Ali Al Mail Zaabi, UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Algeria, and Brigadier pilot Mohammed Rashid Mubarak Al Khaili, military attache, have hosted a reception to observe the 40th anniversary of Unification Day of the UAE Armed Forces, at Hotel El-Aurassi Algiers.

The ceremony was attended by a number of Algerian officials, Arab and foreign ambassadors, businessmen and representatives of UAE companies in Algeria, along with other dignitaries.

Those in attendance congratulated the UAE leadership, government, people and the armed forces on the occasion. The embassy also received a bouquet of flowers to mark the day from President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika, as well as from brothers and friends, to express their respect for the UAE.

During the ceremony, documentary films were screened on the role of the armed forces in promoting regional and international peace, security and stability.
