Turkey preparing to take action against ISIL attacks in Syria: Erdoan

(MENAFN- The Journal Of Turkish Weekly) >Turkey is preparing to take action against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria, PresidentRecep Tayyip Erdoanhas said, adding that the country has not received the desired support from its allies with armed forces in the region.

“We are making our necessary preparations to clean up across the border due to problems happening in [the southeastern border province of] Kilis. However, we have not got the desired support from our allies yet, especially from the countries which have armed forces in the region,” Erdoan said, while speaking at a meeting in the capital Ankara.

The president also added Turkey had the right to not care about those who disregarded Kilis and the Syrian city of Aleppo.

“We also have the right to not care [about] those who disregard Kilis [and] Aleppo. It is not possible for us to agree either with the allies or the non-moral structure in the face of the current discourse and manners of especiallyEuropean Unionorganizations and some countries in Turkey’s fight against terrorism,” Erdoan said, calling their stance hypocritical.

“Those who stirred up the world when Daesh [ISIL] conducted attacks against them left Turkey alone in its fight against the same organization,” Erdoan said.
