New Omani company enters filters industry

Molecules International Muscat, partnering with Care n Cure Group, launched its new venture, Filters International, at Muscat Holiday hotel on Wednesday. The new firm will be offering a range of filter products for the Omani market.

It has also acquired a new warehouse and showroom at Amerat and Misfah and has begun operations in Muscat and surrounding areas. Munawar Muneer, director Molecules International said, 'We are a young company with business operations in India, Africa and other GCC countries. The group's business activity covers a wide spectrum of activities, from shipping and logistics, general trading, inspection and engineering contracts, special projects in the oil and gas industry.

'All these years, we have partnered with a number of prominent global leaders in their line of business to bring the best to our customers in Oman.' WIX Filters of the US is one of the overseas partners of the new company.

Robert Kriss, head of sales and marketing, WIX Filters said, 'Oman has a good potential and there is demand for products. We have launched our products in other Gulf markets and Oman is our last market. The response has been amazing and we look forward to doing business in the country. WIX Filters is nearly eight decades old, has 11 facilities in eight countries, manufactures more than 210mn filters annually and has customers in over 80 countries. It has more than 3,500 employees globally, including 1,500 in the greater Gastonia area of North Carolina State.'

Another partner, Hydrocare Qatar, has highly specialised service points, mobile service, vans and onsite workshops dedicated to serve its customers. Some of its products include high-pressure hoses for all types of applications in oil and gas industry, marine, transport and construction industry.
