Yemeni parties continue talks for fourth consecutive day


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, May 12 (KUNA) -- Yemen's subcommittees involved in UN-sponsored peace talks, hosted by Kuwait, kicked off a new round of talks Thursday, discussing proposals on political, security arrangements and prisoners for the fourth straight day.

The political committee convened to follow up on the rehabilitation process of the country, starting a political dialogue, finding the right atmosphere for reconciliation among the parties.

The security committee is to discuss security and security prospects, including ways of withdrawing artillery and forces.

Last night, UN Special Envoy for Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed met with members of various committee members and participating delegations to tackle main challenges facing the work of the committees and subcommittees. (end) am.mb
