Qatar- President of Tunisia Meets President of Libyan Presidency Council

(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Tunis, May 11 (QNA) - President of Tunisia Beji Caid Essebsi met here on Wednesday with the President of the Libyan Presidency Council (PC) of the Government of National Accord (GNA), Fayez Al Sarraj, who is currently visiting Tunis."Tunisia is willing to support Libya in line with the needs of the Council of the Presidency of the Government of National Accord"," said a statement from the Tunisian Presidency.

At the meeting, Essebsi reaffirmed Tunisia’s willingness to support Libya in line with the needs expressed by the PC.Speaking after the meeting, Al-Sarraj said he had discussed with the Tunisian President ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Tunisia and Libya and step up bilateral co-ordination in the fight against terrorism.

The meeting also focused on the process of installation of the Libyan institutions and main challenges faced by the Presidency Council of the GNA at the political, economic and security levels. (QNA)
